Wandering Lonely

According to The Writer's Almanac, it was on this day in 1802 that William Wordsworth took a stroll with his sister, Dorothy. His sister came home and did some writing in her journal. She described the beautiful daffodils they came upon. In part, Dorothy wrote: "some rested their heads upon these stones as on a pillow for weariness and the rest tossed and reeled and danced and seemed as if they verily laughed with the wind that blew upon them over the lake."

Nice description, Dorothy. It sounds like your stroll was lovely, indeed. I hope brother William gave you the credit you were due when he published his poem five years later.
